I adore this picture. The white is warm and not as many photographers have with white that it become too blue and cold. The blurring of the background makes the wolves stand out. Composition is great, because your eyes goes to the wolves doing their 'wolfstuff'. And I think it captures the both sides of wolves, the caring side for their group but the other side as predators too. One little thing maybe you should have tried to take the photo a bit more to the right so you would see more of the wolf in the back, except that little point is it perfect.
This photo instantly brings a smile to your face. It is an excellent composition which fill the frame, and in great focus. The wolves are doing what wolves do, but a great moment was captured that takes skill and patience. I would know...I can spend hours watching animals just to get one great shot. Animal photography is a practice which to me, not just anyone can do. Sure great camera equipment of the highest level can surely help, but is that what makes a photo great? No. It is the vision of the photographer, who knows what to look for and can bring us what he/she is seeing and trying to capture. This photo is something I would expect to see in Nat Geo magazine. Very beautiful, gorgeous photo of these fantastic and often misunderstood predators.
