Interesting, really interesting... An excellent photo, I must say The mist on this lake make me think of that magical atmosphere which you feel in several romances of the Matter of Britain. I can't omit a particular reference to the Lady of the Lake, which lives in a misty lake, like this, if I'm not mistaken. Anyway, I think it's a really astounding photography, we can see enough well almost everything, and there are nice colours together with a good contrast. Moreover, I find it very original: I didn't see many photos similar to this one. It's a photo taken by using a good technique and a great angle, for all I know about photography. Finally, in my opinion the impact is remarkable. This is why I like very much this picture.
This is a very beautiful piece, and I think you should be pleased with how it turned out.
Vision: I'd have to say that I really like many aspects of this piece. First off, the time at which you have taken this is unable to be determined due to the even lighting and the heavy fog/mist. I think this adds a supernatural feel to it, as this takes it out of the time and space we live in. This is great as it allows us to escape from our reality.
I would say however, that it being so misty can draw away from the art itself, and allow the picture to blend in with itself and look like a singular colour. (I'm talking about viewing it quickly or first glances)
Originality: I think that this piece to me is quite unique in how it tells a story of maybe some hidden place away from humanity - this gives us only a very slight glimpse at it as if to tease us in a way.
Technique: I have to say that I like how you have done this, the brownish red colour makes the scene seem a little less inviting - adding to that 'human free' idea before. Also, although it is obvious, you have kept everything in focus, which can be difficult at times in heavy mist like this.
Impact: Finally, as I said before, the heavy mist can make this piece blend itself with surrounding objects due to its only a slight colour variation. It's not an artwork which stands out to me. However in saying that, when the time is taken to really look at it, I find it very fascinating with a lot of story behind it, which to me makes quite an impact.
To me, i would say this is kind of like a food with a very bland taste at the start, but with a fantastic after-taste - if you get my food analogies
